Our Aim
Milford Del aims to provide a better quality of life for vulnerable people, enabling them to live more independently and maintain their tenancies.
- Our carers will provide a person centered service aimed at responding flexibly and appropriately to your needs.
- We recognise the importance of continuity of care and will aim to ensure that wherever possible, you receive the same carer.
- All individuals who use the service will at all times be treated with courtesy, dignity, respect and recognition for your individual rights and choices.
What is housing related support?
The primary purpose of housing related support is to develop and sustain an individual's capacity to live independently in their own home. Some examples of housing related support services include:
- Supporting individuals to access their correct benefit entitlement.
- Ensuring individuals have the correct skills to maintain a tenancy.
- Advising on home improvements.
- Assistance in relation to neighbourhood disputes.
- Accessing a community service alarm.
- Assistance with budgeting.
Objectives
At Milford Del our support workers are committed to providing a service that delivers quality of life and promotes independence.
The Supporting People Programme delivers services to the most vulnerable members of society. Client groups include:
- People who have been homeless or a rough sleeper.
- Ex-offenders and people at risk of offending and imprisonment.
- People with a physical or sensory disability.
- People at risk of domestic violence.
- People with alcohol and drug problems.
- Teenage parents.
- Elderly people.
- Young people at risk.
- People with HIV and AIDS.
- People with Learning difficulties.
- Travellers.
- Homeless families with support needs.
